April 18 & 19: Kursk Root icon visits our parish
Christ is risen!
| The Sacred Wonderworking Icon of the Mother of God, “Kursk Root,” one of the great treasures of Christian Orthodoxy, will visit Holy Protection Russian Orthodox Church, 2 blocks from Austin, on April 18 and 19, 2018.
Wednesday, Apr. 18. The Holy Icon will be available at our church from 4 p.m. to midnight. Vespers 6 p.m., Akathist 7 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 19. The Holy Icon will be available at our church from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and from 9:30 p.m. to midnight. Hours 9:10 a.m., Liturgy 9:30 a.m., Akathist 11:15 a.m. Please make a donation, even small, for the expenses of those who travel with the Icon as Its guardians. Those coming to honor the Mother of God in this Holy Icon of hers are reminded to dress modestly, covering shoulders, arms, and legs. Ladies should wear a head covering and a dress is encouraged. |
